Dave told me I should post this little piece of wisdom that just came out of me un-prompted:
"Any secret worth having, is a secret worth revealing."

Anyone happen to catch Juan Miguel Gonzales' brief press conference to thank the American people yesterday? It was in English and, consequently, very short. If you missed it, you're in luck. Laaz wrote it down. here it is:
"Castro be belly belly good, to me. Your justeece seestem? (shrugs) I dun know."
Thank you.

Did you know that the DEA limits the amount of Sudafed you can buy at one time? It says so right on your receipt, check next time you buy some. Roommate Tony says he thinks it's because Sudafed can be used as a critical ingredient in a Meth Lab. (should that be capitalized?)

I've noticed that, if you have to deal with an uncomfortable situation for the foreseeable future, it's a lot easier to just sit back and take it, than it is if you know the situation will be ending soon.
To wit: I have no air conditioning in my car. Now, while this has sucked for seven years, it never really bothered me on a conscious level because, well what could I really do about it? But now that I'm in the beginning stages of thinking about getting a new car, I find I can't stand it. Fortunately, I think I've discovered a solution. Each time I go out, I get a big paper cup of ice, sprinkle some water into it and hold it between my legs for the ride. As I drink the melted ice and chew on the cubes, I find I'm not nearly as hot as I once was. This afternoon, I was, in fact, quite cool. Of course, the problem now is that this a one-way solution only.

This guy's gotta have this wrong. check out his Laser beam and Cessium gas post from June 1. I don't care how goddamn fast the laser travels, unless it goes back in time, how can the effect be observed before the cause? I can see the delay being so infinitessimal that it seems as if cause and effect are simultaneous, but effect before cause? I don't think so.

As reports pour in (most notably Newsweek's recent expose) that tell us how dismally ineffective the air war over Kosovo actually was ("14 tanks killed, not 120; 18 APC's destroyed, not 220"), and since this is an election year featuring a Vice President who claims to have been instrumental in the shaping of the last 8 years of American foreign policy, I think it's only appropriate to point out the truth about that policy, when such truth arrises. Somalia, Rwanda, Kosovo, and now, Haiti. This one brought to you by T. Enjoy.

There is definitely something we need to see in Kuala Lumpur.
It's just a shame that they won't let you go all the way up. Kinda misses the point otherwise, dontcha think?

I'll be the first to say it. Schwartz told me today that he hasn't been feeling "in a posting mood" for the last couple days and I must say I feel the same way. Only thing I can figure, is that for the first time, there is ample evidence to suggest that people we do not know are reading the site... maybe even regularly, and we are a bit intimidated by the concept.
Any thoughts?

Per Schwartz's request, my contact lens Px seems to be something like -1.75/8.6 in both eyes. Whatever that means. I wonder if the GOC's would think me sexy or not.
Speaking of sexy, as I browse through the blogs on the blogger site, I am disappointed at the lack of even softly-pornographic blogs. Sometimes you just need a little kick in the afternoon to get you going and there's just no help on Blogger.

Not much of an animal rights guy myself, but I found this to be an interesting, if debatable, point.

Couple Baat stories for ya, both having to do with his young cat Tyler:
1.Tyler had an unusual run in with the local bird gang in the back yard. I went outside to check on Tyler (who can't stay outside too long without supervision) and heard all kinds of chirping. Tyler was crouched down in the grass. I called him and he came over to me and I noticed a spot on his back. As he got closer, I realized the spot was bird crap. Apparently the birds are getting smarter.
2. We have a really small trash can in the bathroom with the rounded top and a little flippy lid in the center. The other day Tyler came walking into the living room wearing the top like a skirt. He couldn't get it off so he just casually walked into the living room and sat down. The look on his face was saying "Uh....little help here".

I knew this girl... well, actually, I guess the truth is that I didn't really know her at all. But she used to work here at ICM and, in fact, two of my friends are on her "victims" list. Tracy Brimm, who is quoted in the article, is an ICM agent and close personal friend. Wackiness.
Actually, I don't think the reporter did a very good job. I would like to have learned more about her background. Plus, I know so many much better stories about this girl than a couple hundred dollars in scammed manicures. Ask me about the stolen rental car.
