Only $54 million? Well, at least I know I'm doing my part.

More on the Cat killer that gave me a nice little shiver last night. Damare's colleagues down that the District Attorney's office, knowing that most serial killers start with animals, are in agreement that what's going on here is that a fledgling killer is growing more bold and may be about to metamorphose into a serial killer of the human kind.

Don't know about y'all, but I'm spooked.

Well, after seven months, there's finally a sign of life at the FrickCAM. It's a little disappointing, but any update is better than none.

Starts your Thursday? That's a laugh!

THE PEN here, with a rare apology. I'm running behind, but fear not, I have not forsaken thee and my wisdom will be forthcoming. Again, my most sincere of apologies to those of you who depend upon the venom of The Pen as the catharsis that starts your Thursday.

Did you know that there is an entire segment of our society that cares deeply, to the point of passion, about whether Spiderman's webshooters will be mechanical or organic in the upcoming Bio-pic?

Man! I had to jump through some serious hoops to figure out today's Doctor Fun... including, but not limited to, reading an entire Edgar Allen Poe story.

I was just told that excite.com is owned by a rival talent agency... Endeavor.

A) How?
B) Why?

Further to Mike's blog about the Jaws DVD, the site mentioned in the article jaws25.com, is amazing. Cumbersome as hell, but amazing.

For those interested (Lars, I'm looking in your direction, here), here's a review of the big Jaws DVD. It has lots of good things to say about the movie, but unfortunately, it says "the DVD package itself is just so-so." Oh well.

I plan to file this next picture under the heading "when your number's up, your number... is up."

... even if you happen to be sitting in a tiny bed-and-breakfast surrounded by hundreds of square kilometres of open field, in Middle-of-Nowhere France, having a nice liesurely cafe au lait.

OK, so this trailer for Episode 2 is a fake made by geeks, but God bless 'em, if the movie lives up to this trailer, we might be in for something exciting.

Insurance companies are assholes:

I just got a statement from my health insurance provider which told me the following:

1) That I've spent so much on this one particular doctor of mine that I am now eligible to be reimbursed for those services at a higher rate. (that's good)

And, on the very same statement, that:

2) By the way, you've reached the maximum number of office visits allowed for this type of service and that those services are no longer eligible for any coverage by the insurance company. (that's bad)

According to the EPA, "there is nothing funny about backflow." Nevertheless, here's a funny article about backflow.
