Jeez, you can't rush a man like that and expect to get good work. Sorry, the pictures weren't there for Day 2, but they're there now. (As it turned out, I probably could have stuck around for a few more minutes without our bus leaving, but you can understand I didn't want to risk it. I was somewhat on-edge because I had left Lars in an awkward position: he had to a) keep the bus from leaving without me, b) drag me out of this Internet Cafe, and do it all while c) keeping track of all of our luggage.

Oh well. We just got back from the Mekong Delta a few hours ago, and hope to post our next update tomorrow morning before we go on our excursion to the Cu Chi tunnels. Look for that update somewhere around 8:00am our time, which will be 9:00pm Eastern, 6:00pm Pacific. Which day that is, I don't know, but it will be about 10 hours from now.

Seeee ya!

Well, we came THIS close to getting Day 2's update in place before hopping on a bus for the Mekong Delta, but technical problems intervened.

Gotta go, the bus is threatening to leave without me.

We'll get updates up as soon as we can!

Hey everybody,

We made it and are safe and... well we're sound anyway, here in Saigon. From now on, you should click on Mike's wonderful little Vietnam 2000 logo up there at the top for your updates. At this moment (11:06am here), there's no update there because the computer we're using right now is not letting us do what we need to do. But we wanted to let you all know we made it OK. We certainly should be able to find another cafe, since this street is positively lined with them, from which we can update before you guys are awake to read it.

We just signed up for a two-day tour of the Mekong Delta for 17 bucks each (hotel included) which leaves tomorrow morning, and then a trip to Cu Chi the day after that. Should be fun.

See ya in a bit, right now we need to get back to drinking water from bottles which smell, alarmingly, of fish.
