Here's an idea for how to reform our balloting system:

Ahh, never mind. Miami-Dade has changed their minds and stopped all recounts. (Dontcha just hate when they change the rules in the middle of the process?)

Finally, some logic! I've been asking all along why they don't just recount the "undervotes," the ballots where no vote was cast for President. Regardless of what you think about the recounts, I think you have to admit that, if you're going to do a manual recount, it makes sense, from a purely logistical point of view, to start your manual recount with the ballots that the computers were unable to read, and I can't, for the life of me, see what the Republicans' objection to that point is. (Unless, of course, their goal is to stall the recount to freeze everything in place while their candidate is ahead.)
By the way, I completely agree with the Republicans that if a ballot has properly punched-out holes for all the other races, but the presidential race has only a dimple, that the dimple should not count.

Let no one say that I'm not doing my part to help the environment. This morning I put gas in my car for the first time since October 2nd.

Back in May, I pointed to an article detailing a turf battle my company is having with our neighbor (Booz-Allen) over the name of our street. Well, apparently we've decided to bury the hatchet. I'm sure you're all relieved.

Did I just make a big mistake watching another Zemeckis trailer? Up to now, all I had seen of Cast Away was the original teaser which ends with Tom Hanks washing up on the island. Well, I just saw a trailer that gives away an awful lot more than that. I won't go into details, but I certainly feel like I now know a lot more information than I should.

I think the wording of the following link from the Washington Post conjures a much funnier mental image if you remove the apostrophe:

Mike discovered this, believe it or not. I had forgotten, but a couple months ago, I went to a local Irish pub and won a Monday Night Football halftime raffle, netting myself a rare and valuable Married With Children T-Shirt. Significance and/or relevance to Monday Night Football: Unknown. Wanna see what I looked like in it? Click here.

Hey, I just got my first Virginia Quarter as change. It's kinda boring, though... just a bunch of ships. Those ships could be in any state! Don't worry, California, your quarter is coming in 2005.

I read this article with great interest given the fact that at least two of the two administrators of this site subscribe to the 8 glasses of water a day theory of general health.

In the vein of the hamster dance and, I think, quite funny. Though unfortunately, it seems to be missing the goofy music.

Boy, some folks don't know when they've lost. Move on guys. The ship has sailed. Time to find a new issue. Robot-on-human attacks maybe (see below)?

Ewww. I wonder if that's true.

Wow, parking is so bad at the Tallahassee Capitol, Fox's Shepard Smith ran another reporter down with his car because she was trying to save a space!
